Product Overview:
The PD Decoy Module PD23.0 is a hardware-based PD trigger solution using the 2721 PD chip, designed to force specific voltage outputs (9V, 12V, 15V, or 20V) from compatible power sources. It is perfect for applications requiring fixed voltage outputs in custom charging or power setups. However, the module does not support dynamic voltage changes, upgrades, or compatibility fixes with non-supported devices.
Key Features:
- Fixed Voltage Triggering: The module uses the PDC004 PD identification chip to trick the PD power supply into outputting a specific voltage (9V, 12V, 15V, or 20V), depending on the jumper configuration.
- Two Versions Available:
- 15V/20V Version:
- Jumper shorting for 20V.
- Jumper open for 15V.
- 9V/12V Version:
- Jumper shorting for 12V.
- Jumper open for 9V.
- 15V/20V Version:
- Strict Communication Protocol: Ensures safe and stable voltage outputs without spoofing higher voltages or altering current. It does not support boosting or stepping down the voltage.
- Non-upgradable PD Chip: The hardware chip cannot be upgraded or customized for different voltages, and it does not support features like PPS (Programmable Power Supply).
Important Notes:
- The module may output different voltages than expected depending on the available voltage of the power supply.
- It does not support arbitrary voltage selection or voltage change, and it cannot read charger head information.
- It may not be compatible with all PD chargers, and some devices may overheat if forced to use incorrect voltages.
- The module is not suitable for applications requiring PPS gear or other dynamic voltage options.
Application Caution: Using incorrect voltage settings may result in device overheating or damage. Ensure proper voltage configuration to avoid safety hazards.
